That is a really neat effect! Did you overlay a transparent color, or choose colors from the palette directly, for the translucent lich?

I feel that! It seems like part of the pixel art revival is pushing the limits of what pixel art can be, but only in the direction of “more,” not “less is more.”

I feel that! It seems like part of the pixel art revival is pushing the limits of what pixel art can be, but only in the direction of “more,” not “less is more.”
There’s more contrast, especially in the highlight, and the new berry is a lot more plump. Berries aren’t always that perfect, round, heart shape, so the new one looks more stylized, but it gives the impression that you’re allowing yourself more freedom in the way you create.
