Just getting through The Slow Apocalypse™, like everyone else.

Started life in a San Francisco commune in the height of the 60’s. Raised by social activists, beat poets, drag queens.

Now just a boring web developer living with a husband & t̶w̶o̶ five cats.
It’s this thread about people leaving MAGA.

Read this. Then explain how what you know about chromosomes rebuts what biologists know.

Yep.

The OOP’s message was about the different feeds people see. (Especially low-information people who don’t dig deep.)

It was about discovering WHY a certain subset of people are horrified that we’re not mourning Kirk’s death. They only saw his inspirational posts — never his political stuff.
September 14, 2025 at 11:09 PM
In this case that clearly wasn’t the case. OOP’s friend was shocked when she saw the bad stuff.

It sounds to me like she just saw his “wholesome” stuff in her feed and didn’t follow actual news.

OOP, like me, had no idea the wholesome stuff existed. Which doesn’t change anyone’s opinion of him.

Not in this case, and that was the point. There was more to the post, too.
September 14, 2025 at 4:21 PM
Exactly. And the original had a lot more depth.

“None of those motivational things he said change my opinion about him because they don't erase the negativity, the subtle calls for violence, the belittling and denigrating of other races religions genders etc.”
September 14, 2025 at 4:19 PM
Also, there were two more screenshots in the original post, FWIW.
September 14, 2025 at 4:18 PM
And the original post has two more screenshots that explain that further.

Nah, you’re just wrong. That’s isn’t Tyler Robinson. That’s Skye Valadaz, someone people thought might be the shooter before Robinson was identified.
September 14, 2025 at 6:23 AM
Nice try. Here’s the original.

Except that’s photoshopped. This is the original, from his Facebook page.

Except that’s not Tyler Robinson. It’s Skye Valadez, who some people thought was the shooter before it turned out to be Robinson.

After George Zinn repeatedly stumbled to the ground, probably because his pants were around his ankles, an officer lifted him by his feet. They all proceeded towards the police car with Zinn being carried face down by all limbs.
September 12, 2025 at 12:33 AM
That may have been the same guy. At some point someone grabbed at Zinn, and for the rest of his journey to the police car, his pants were around his ankles, leaving his white boxers for all to see.
September 12, 2025 at 12:25 AM
Short version of that video.

This is George Zinn, later arrested for obstruction. Turns out this is a habit of his:

“Zinn is known for showing up — and occasionally disrupting or being arrested at — events ranging from political speeches to…various protests.”

Not officially, but the FBI posted photos of their person of interest. It’s pretty clear from all the context (saying their suspect is college age and that they have security footage of him) that they think this is the shooter.
September 11, 2025 at 8:54 PM
Correct.
September 11, 2025 at 1:25 AM
It’s real. I saw it with my own eyes earlier today, using nitter to view X. (I finally deleted my X account earlier this year.)

MAGA thinks it made Vance look great. 🙄
September 7, 2025 at 2:57 AM
I just checked, and yes, it is!

Worse, MAGA is saying Vance “owned” Krassenstein. Also, “there is no international law.” 🙄

(I used nitter to check since I finally deleted my Twitter/X account earlier this year.)
September 6, 2025 at 3:57 PM
That wasn’t all he tweeted, and he had posted plenty of misinformation before that.

Imma try to do a bunch of catchup posts about the many cats in my life.

Back story, short version: we had 2 cats, then two important people in our life died, and we inherited their 3 cats. So now we have 5 cats. (Math!)

We were skeptical, but it’s working, so we now have 5 cats + accoutrements.

Block the troll/bot @delandis.bsky.social

Put it on block lists. Denies what’s happening under Trump. Truly just a troll with no rational arguments to be seen anywhere.

The photo is from 2020:

But more recent photos are similar:

They do get bunks, though. Metal instead of WWII wood bunks. 😬
