Cold high-fat things are almost a different ingredient than when they're hot, and temperature contrast is definitely a thing worth exploring. Like cold butter on warm Banana Bread etc. some of them are iconic already.

Maybe like the case where ornithologists put colorful identification bands on male birds and those birds proceeded to get all the females by virtue of their new bling, completely skewing the study.

If you're a manufacturer who now chooses to re-introduce these substances into your products, it seems to me that this may be a huge legal liability in the future. Just because it's (temporarily?) legal to use them, I feel like the product liability lawyers are going to eat you up.
