One option I know of: use Twine to develop and layout your Choose Your Own Adventure/gamebook in sequence. Then use Gordian Book, which imports Twine games and outputs them in a gamebook format (shuffling paragraphs, adds 'turn to page x', etc). Then you can create a paper version with that output.

Yeah, I remember having clothing confiscated in high school because they thought I looked like a school shooter.

Also in HS, got accosted by a cop while leaving the movies with my girlfriend. He just "couldn't understand why we would want to look that way" and started to get aggressive about it.

Love Dark Corners. From what I remember, the only reason we have a PC version is because the lead dev at Headfirst ported over the Xbox version in his free time. At that point Headfirst didn't really exist anymore as a team and was going into administration.

Man Opener was the first pet I gravitated towards. I would, and have, died for Man Opener.

Y'all made a masterpiece for real.

I had no idea this existed! And the contributing authors are stacked. Will have to check it out. Thanks!

I did the same. Classic for a lil bit and then once I started a Roleplay character I sunk like 50+ hours into it in no time.

Playing In Roleplay Mode instead of Classic Mode helps, I think. You can make mistakes and die and you'll just go back to your last save point (friendly settlement). Still hurts because you lose progress but isn't as deflating as "I just lost a 10 hour character and have to start all over"

My only criticism of Between Two Fires is that I can't find anything else like Between Two Fires.

As far as films, I like the 1984 version with George C. Scott because it feels like an unsettling ghost story through most of it, and it also includes Ignorance and Want.
