A mere 40 days into the administration of our 47th president, and we are well on our way to its dissolution.

Now, more than 234 years later, the fundamental challenge raised by Franklin has never been so pressing. We, the current stewards of our republic, are failing to “keep it”… to preserve and protect our democratic republic.

Not quite accurate. Portland’s 1st ranked choice election in 1913, attracted 78 candidates competing for four seats. Btw 1913 and 1932, roughly 30% of voters used their 2nd choice, 20% used their 3rd. The system was rejected by 80% of voters in 1932.
