It's not crashing, but I think the direction is bad. Predicting recessions is usually fraught with caution, but I won't be surprised if we have one in 2026.

It does seem that anti-immigrant sentiment runs in cycles. Not sure there was ever a time where we were completely accepting of immigrants, but the sentiment is certainly on the rise now. Maybe when there is no one to do the jobs that many immigrants do that will change.

Agree with most except I will wear shorts if I fly in the summer. Admittedly that is rare but long pants in 80 degree weather is a no go.

I really wish I agreed with you but I am past the point of wanting any of his supporters in my life. They are responsible for this. I can't change what is happening in Washington now, but I want those responsible to feel my contempt.

Agreed. Multiple factors often determine success. Intelligence is often one but neither necessary nor sufficient.

I agree that today's players are better. Primarily because they are so much better athletes. But I think the game is diminished primarily because so many players rely solely on superior athleticism at the expense of teamwork and fundamentals.
