The digital vs non-digital ratio is important as the affordances of the components and upkeep become more apparent when it’s played at the table.

Finally the player count distribution helps us know whether we’ve played enough games at different player counts.

The distribution charts let you quickly see whether there are any gaps in your testing. The audience distribution here suggests we need to do more tests with non-gamers (if that is our audience) and definitely we need to do some Blind Tests to make sure it works without the designers present.

Today day we look at a new chart: play test duration vs player count. This game supports 3-6 players and you can see most games fall in to 15-20 minute range regardless of play count.

There are two ways you can view this, using exact times and clustered which is rounded up to 5 minute intervals.

The duration of a game is one of the things a publisher wants to know. Recently added to pitch2table is the chart of play test duration. Each play test that you record with a duration is included.

This game for instance appears to be gradually getting longer, perhaps from added complexity.
