I learned a lot reporting this, like: gas taxes pay for only a small portion of local road costs; a heavy dump truck causes ~5,000x more road damage than a passenger vehicle; and letting local roads fall into disrepair leads to much higher long-term costs. (5/5)

At the same time though, it's the one of the wealthiest regions in the state, which places it in a better position to spend more of its own funds. (4/5)
