Do I still love this guy unconditionally? Yes. Do I think his backstory is insane and he's a little too sane? Possibly.

Yes, reading the comics gave me a new perspective on his character and it's a very uncomfortable experience but like none of this shit comes up in either iteration of mw2

It's definitely a little unfair to compare the two but MW handles brotherhood better than Ghosts, though I will admit that it's sort of the main driving force in mw2 cause that fetch plot was a bit lack luster

On the other side of this is the reboot of Modern Warfare, where it sometimes feels like a sitcom with how much Ghost/Soap talk with one another. I think that clicked really well because it felt more like Zombies did, short quips between two characters as you fought and not so much cutscenes

Most obvious is Hesh and Logan and then the sworn brotherhood of the original Ghosts.
I don't know, I didn't click with all of the characters they way they intended, and maybe that was because they locked all of the backstory behind unlockables in an already miserable game

Incredibly common opinion that Ghosts is a bad campaign, but it had a lot of potential given that I don't believe they do actual related family stories in campaigns (probably for the better)
