On a more personal note, Zeynep Sönmez reaching the 3rd round at Wimbledon, being the first tennis player from her country ever to do that, was also pretty special.

Would be more classy imho if they put DelPo, Svetlana, & some others who didn’t get in before, like Ferrero and Ivanovic, on the ballot this year, and voted in both Roger and Serena together next year. I understand they wanted to induct them separately, but they shouldn’t have made it look rushed.

Madi’s run at the Australian Open, and everything Amanda did from Doha to Beijing to the Finals. Those were the brightest moments for me. Negatives were Penko’s finger and the runner up’s attitude at Roland Garros.
