It was a weird sight last evening when I saw Venus setting bright in the west and this diffuse glow passing it. It turned out to be the SpaceX launch I guess on its orbit, and then a helicopter passed thru my shot.

The moon is holding water tonight, with a nice reflection in the lake.

Cold Outer Banks from before the snow. I went home in Dec and it was so cold and lonely there, so strange to see it empty. It was still beautiful, but just too quiet for me.

Around 2011, we had huge floods that ruined many houses and displaced families on the Outer Banks. A lot of people lost their homes forever and moved away.
Before we help out the people in the NC mountains, don't you think we should first take care of them?

If I just have to get used to getting on here by posting a pretty picture every day, well that's what I'm gonna do.

I just got in my shipment of books from the printers! I've been waiting about a month to finally get Bess in print, and with Christmas and this snow, it took forever. I have to give a couple to Callie's friends first.

I'm going to do my best to warm some hearts, even on these cold nights.
