As I read the news, I feel the exhilarating moment just as the rollercoaster begins its descent, and I anticipate the rush to terminal velocity.  I’ve claimed I’m a nihilist, but that's wrong. I believe, and always will, that resistance against evil prevails as the most profoundly meaningful cause. I gift the deepest respect to those brave warriors of justice who fight till their dying breath. I revere those who haven’t lost hope, for I fear that I have. They want you to give up! They rely on your mental defeat!

Each cell in your body contains a set of sex chromosomes. Some people have different sets of sex chromosomes in some cells vs other cells. Some people’s biological sex, determined by their chromosomes, is naturally different from their reproductive anatomy. With this in mind, approximately 1 in 150 to 1 in 60 people (0.6%–1.7%) defy a binary definition of sex on a biological level. That’s on par with the prevalence of natural red hair (~1–2% of the population). I no longer advocate for red vs blue or right vs left. I side with the poor and the educators against the rich and the deceivers, whatever side they be on. Biden deported more people in his first few weeks than Trump. One is just louder and more saturated than the other. While the great clans pass the keys of the kingdom back and forth, their wealth builds. They pit the rest of us against each other to fight for the crumbs of the pie they stole. I look up the definitions of oligarchy and the warning signs of fascism.

A follow up from my Response to the Executive Orders of January 20, 2025. The new administration overwhelms. The news floods my thoughts and hours pass before I think to respond. I talk to my husband, and my emotions pour out too hard to be heard. My mother avoids the news for fear of the horror and sadness. Too much. Too much. And our institutions, it seems, are as overwhelmed. Is it legal? While legislators and judges scramble to make a case, ten more violations occur. The damage staggers while the institutions spin in circles to address them.
