The only 'extraction' you do is missions where you have to extract loot or salvage back to your ship while under attack by the NPC enemies.

Probably the best comparison would be the game Void Crew, but that's also not a well known game so nobody references it either. But basically 1-4 people in a ship, going through a procedurally generated mission chain based on difficulty selected. with space and ground combat.
