While Killian knew that his sister was more than capable of handling herself, he did always worry about her safety as any brother would. Still, he was glad to hear she had backup.

“Now, I wonder what those two were bickering about?” He aired the question without really expecting >

> warmly. He then pulled over a chair from Leela’s desk and took a seat next to Emma. “So, how may I be of service? Break first? Or trudge through this paperwork?” He lifted a file and scrutinised it, a dark eyebrow lifting. “Leroy again?”

“Why not both?~” He parried with a rakish grin.

Emma’s little hint did not go unnoticed and the pirate was all too happy to oblige his wife with her desire. Leaning back in, Killian gave her a deep kiss, letting it linger a moment before pulling back.

“Always happy to dote on my wife,” he replied>

> “And I brought goodies,” he added, lifting up the bag of bear claws.

Sauntering in, he spies Emma at her desk, head down and buried in whatever file she was working on.

“Never fear, your handsome pirate is here to rescue you from a night of boredom~”

He set the flowers down on her desk before bending down to kiss her on the cheek. >
