It's about more than honoring Pres. Carter. His deep desire for free elections and democracy in the world as well. The new "president" is an ignorant, unstable felon, sexual abuser, conman, traitor. The flag at half staff also symbolizes the potential death of US democracy & rise of authoritarianism
