I am also dyslexic, and I cannot tell you how many times I had to reread that in order to figure out why you went from "what?" to "oh, oops". It still stands that they should word it better, if only to save those of us that easily misread everything from utter confusion.

Ok, double-checking my haughty little self here, Schmutz *can* mean "smut", apparently. Which I assume the article writer was aiming for, since it makes it funnier to English speakers. But, still, Schmutzwortsuche is not a word found in German, and is taken directly from that list of proposed words.

NAUGHT NAUGHTY!! It's not a real word (English or German)! It was a proposed word, and a badly done one at that. Schmutz is literally dirt, Schmutzig is "dirty" and can mean that in the same ways as in English, but Schmutzwort isn't a thing, nor is Schmutzigwort. "Dirty word" is Schimpfwort.
