How often do directors of football get sacked though? The separation of duties map would be quite interesting looking at eg Rodgers at Celtic vs Christopher Freund.

10 points with a game in hand and goal difference worth another point. Between £80m and £100m cash at the bank. Another transfer window another net negative spend. Enough insurance there to win the league but what does it do to next season and Rodgers demeanour?

It’s a lot of money to have spent on a player who has gone back the way and now we need another striker. We will at least get out money back for Engels, McCowan and Bernardo are good squad additions but Trusty isn’t any better than Scales. Of Tierney signs he mind wind up at left centre back

I agree but there is a more than legitimate concern that he has an injury record that includes potential career ending issues and a recent hamstring injury that required half a year to come back from. If that was a tear like other players have had it reduces speed at best.

I mentioned the last 2 years for a reason. Tierney has had career threatening injuries which continue to be a problem. Taylor does not. If we spaff £37k a week on Tierney he then winds up a very expensive cheerleader.

Tierney signs and Taylor stays. Is that no a better outcome than Tierney signs and we are looking for cover for a guy who has not played a lot of football the last 2 seasons?

Square ball king that scored in the Cup Final and put Hatate through at Pittodrie. Short memories or just none? Better out there? Name them for the money Taylor wants

I can smell that pish from a mile Off. You you say he haw to do with Taylor then proceed to run him down. Have a look in the mirror. Manager wants him. Taylor wants to stay.

Because Taylor is the only full time employee who can play left back. He’s held the position for years. The other 3 are new, veteran or play in multiple positions. None of them are out of contract soon. Taylor wants to stay. Rodgers wants him. Someone else else at the club doesn’t agree

Are Forest Kuhn and Maeda out of contract in 6 months and looking to stay while we sing the Jota song? The fact you’ve named 3 players and not one is also a bit of a suspect argument.

I think folk have to consider how much Taylor might be getting offered relative to what others are getting paid at Celtic and what his value is seen as by other teams. If Taylor wanted more money than he is being offered by Celtic he could get it.
