“Shared responsibility” is a loaded phrase for Community Sector Organisations who often fill the space where government fails after disasters.

In this article we interview representatives from CSOs and find that “shared responsibility” is a 1/3

Any advice for what to do when you’re finishing an article, and then re-run your searches to pick up any new research, only to find out SCOPUS updated last night and now your search returns 949 additional articles?

Like come on 😭 I used 5 different databases to avoid this. And yet

This decision is a slap in the face to Australia's human rights and climate obligations, which have been exchanged for 0.6% of Western Australia's annual budget. But hey, it's all worth it to make those shareholders happy

Talking about Referendums in my Introduction to Law class. We used the 1999 referendum about Australia becoming a Republic

I put the question to them.

Only 3 people in my 41-person class thought Australia should become a Republic

It is not lost on me how significantly these figures have been revised

The accepted number by western pundits for over 12 months was “Hamas killed 1200 people, so Israeli retaliation is necessary” - I think Israel even used 1200 at the ICJ

Now “Hamas murdered 340 people”

The Brutalist is phenomenal

An unflinching portrait of obsession, art under capitalism, and the subjugation of immigrants in America

Very easy 5 stars, and I don’t know how Guy Pearce and Felicity Jones aren’t SWEEPING the Best Supporting Actor categories
