We are having our last work party of the year this Sunday (28th Sept), so please come along and give us a hand (anytime between 9.30 - 11.30)- there is lots to do! Hopefully see you there.

Despite the dry weather, there is still a lot to see on the Green - a beautiful kestrel, migrant hawker dragonflies and speckled wood butterflies 😃

A May update from the Green - meadow saxifrage, reed bunting and a pair of beautiful broad-bodied chaser dragonfly!

The orchids are starting to flower, so are well worth a visit.
Also, the cattle will be turned onto the Green in the next week or so.

An April update from the Green:

There is a lot of bird activity at the moment, including one of our lovely summer visitors, the whitethroat. Plus orange-tip butterfly on ladies smock...with an egg. Finally, how about some delicate brooklime?

Really thrilled to have heard a water rail on the Green yesterday! A rare visitor indeed. He was skulking by the brook, in the very overgrown and boggy area.
Photo NOT taken yesterday, but at WWT Slimbridge, earlier on in the year!
