For people disoriented in, for us basic, historical facts it could be misleading without deeper explanation. Poland has a lot to offer when it comes to historical awareness: Russia is a colonial power that like a snake in Bible pretends to protect global south when it's exploiting it in imperial game

Not quite, still. Polish messianism was a way of spiritual self-support of people fighting against powerful oppressor. There was kind of pro-independence nationalism in that. Only trait of messianism in this speech is standing against powerful opponent and bearing a light of awareness (risky).

I would say if it looks like messianism it's only because in our interest (and the whole Europe) is to prevent further invasions from the East and Poland is naturally in such a position that: 1) must (close to the front), 2) can (support and possibilities in UE, NATO and human potential) stand up.

Sikorski lived and studied in England, experienced communism and war in Afganistan (that in '80). From local Polish perspective it's not about romantism but about rational reminder what is true and what isn't. His political opponents in Poland are more romantic (in negative sense) by language.

Any polish version planned? I find Poland good place for developing critical rationalism. It's good soil, good seed but we miss good popperian farmers now.
