Feeling like I’ve been microwaved on defrost for 5 minutes but I cut out some pumpkin leaves for the lil Jack o lantern beetles that @plushrumpus.bsky.social has in the works 👍🏻

Someone suggested an around-the-neck mount to me and I never even considered the possibility! Ceiling mount certainly sounds fancy though 😂

Today’s batties! I really like the fabric on the one, it has metallic gold details, so I used some metallic thread for the eyes to match. 😪 Ready to head back to bed though, it was a rough day.

Progress! I’ve gotta finish up the cigarettes for two of them and then make a couple cross Punishers~ I had a frustrating day and I don’t feel great but it’s fine, haha.

Aaaand I can’t sleep so I finished him up. 😅 (Sorry for the bad lighting in my office!) I’m looking forward to starting the revised version tomorrow - got a much thinner sub line on the shirt.

Today I cut out the sunglasses, his hair, and worked on the body. Overall he’s a tiny bit too big - probably by only 5% or so lol - but it’s ok cus he’s the prototype. I’m going to try to get the sublimated lines on the shirt thinner too, I cut them out by hand so they’re a lil chunky 😅

A lot of people like to post how they’ve improved over the years but sometimes I think my better work was in the past.. this was in 2010! So small! I think I’d like to try make a plush like this again but it’s harder to for me to find butter/doe suede in a wide range of colors 😅

v-v I was going to continue organizing/unpacking while I ran an embroidery file and instead I ended up troubleshooting the file for two whole hours.
