Well the first 30 minutes just kind of spoil the ending and create unrealistic plot holes, besides how can the gommage be a heavy scene if we don't really care about Sophia, how can the beach massacre be heavy if we don't know the expedition members? You can't kill random NPCs and call it emotional.

But I admit, the story starts becoming minimally good whenever the moon lady is unlocked and I can feel it's becoming more enjoyable, It is although a massive gamble to make your first game minimally good 5 hours in.

I think they are and it's been a common practice for years now with the examples I stated mid wall of text

Will the game become magically fun midways? Will the story become interesting? Will they cover the massive gaping plotholes imposed right on the start? I'll be the judge of that.

If not... At least the devs learnt a valuable lesson, do bare minimum and pay your way to the top.

Even if it was the same version I played on the Xbox gamepass but whatever, maybe the real game is behind the overpriced paywall, who knows? Not me because I don't intend on buying it.

But alas, all these criticisms will be better addressed on a full review of the game that I will make.

But hey, maybe I'm wrong, maybe my pirated version has a different ear shattering headache giving soundtrack, horribly written bland characters and horrible and outdated turn based gameplay, maybe what I've played for 4 hours is not the game everyone has been playing.
