I’m not necessarily knocking it. “Be content in your drudgery” is probably good advice to 99% of humanity.

That’s a long way to spell “corruption”.

That’s a very convenient attitude for the leader of an institution that depends on drudgework to take.

That’s a good moment. I had a semi-feral tuxedo who I adopted from a rescue at about six months old. It took six months before he started to purr and cuddle, and it felt like such an achievement.

You’re being deliberately obtuse. People consume resources. LLMs consume resources. People + LLMs consume more resources than people alone. The resource savings of LLMs don’t equal the difference in the resources they consume, which is why utility rates are increasing.

“We” aren’t doing those things. Capital is. All the wealth piled up by the first wave of the internet is being shoveled into the AI hole so that it isn’t frittered away on [insert positive social good here].

“It’s about American football!”

Rural Georgian cops don't consider the murder of black people by white people a crime, and rural Georgian white men think of themselves as judge, jury, and executioner of black behavior or even presence. That’s really the only conclusion you can draw from the facts of the case.

Truly, a land of contrasts.

At tge time, the deep ocean was considered and analogue to deep space. At this time underwater cities and bulk mining of the ocean floor (the cover story for Howard Hughes‘ CIA-funded Glomar Explorer) were still very much considered in the realm of possibility.

What I dread is the hypocritical but highly predictable puritanical moral backlash that will follow this period and whose scourge will fall (as it always does) disproportionately on Democrats.

Hypocricy is the debt virtue owes to vice. Would you prefer a novel where the older protagonist positively revels in his sins, a sort of middle-aged academic update of the first half of A Clockwork Orange? By the way, I think I’ve got a book idea!

The progressive electorate enabled a GOP trifecta, in order to make some sort of incoherent and self-defeating point about Israel/Palestine. The Democrats who remain can slow the GOP down and piss them off, but ultimately they can’t stop them until next November.

The people DESERVE to have their healthcare costs skyrocket when they vote in a GOP President, House, and Senate. The perennial agenda of the Republican Party is to eliminate Obamacare and, more broadly, healthcare for those who can’t afford it out-of-pocket, and that wasn’t a secret last November.

This is a matter that no politician past the level of Chicago alderman or mayor could or should possibly give a damn about. Trump’s Obama/Chicago hate complex runs deep.

It started just before the Epstein files were released in November 2025.

There’s also the white working class GOP base that wants to receive government benefits while also owning the libs who could stand a little punishment to see where their interests lay.
November 10, 2025 at 3:00 PM
They might also be inclined to discipline an electorate that appears to want social-democratic benefits while also owning the libs.

How in the french-fried fuck are they justifying the edifice-which, is, at base level, a field with seats around it-costing so much?

Isn’t the team name dystopian enough a la A Handmaid’s Tale? The Washington Commanders at Donald Trump Stadium is kind of a hat on a hat.

Cat Abughazeleh, I presume?

They should have resigned the second they were ordered to tyrannize an American city.
November 7, 2025 at 12:16 PM
There’s no such thing as white-collar crime; just ask the President. If you ever wonder why he so effortlessly sashays through gaffes and conflicts of interest that the press would have beheaded a Democrat for, that attitude is it.

They were full of shit then, they are full of shit now. They are anarchist insurgents in the minority, and dictatorial authoritarians in the majority. Their eternal principle is opportunistic situationalism.
