Cigarette burns.
I hate the smell but I got one pushed into my arm and have been awakened.

My boyfriend has been enjoying "intentional beverages." In particular, he likes the ones by Kin (you can get them at whole foods or similar). They're basically a CBD drink with some other stuff.

I was talking with a therapist about the only argument for person-first is that top-down classification systems (think LC or scientific names) are superior, but then you'd have to commit for every descriptor of someone. She said that was the most auspec-ass logic she'd ever heard {affectionate}.

Oh! My friend was part of a study that helped get programs like these established! She had her teeth cleaned once with a dog and once without while wearing a heart monitor as well as self-reporting how she felt about the whole thing. She held a senior cocker spaniel mix, as I recall.

Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but the Little Big Planet games have been a staple in my group for a while.

Oh, and "Hereville: Yet Another Troll-Fighting 11-Year-Old Orthodox Jewish Girl” posted the other and then forgot about this gem.

I read "Cats Cradle: The Magic Twine" some years ago and really liked it. And the art is great!

Seems to be working now

Anyone with a twitter/x account that can see if that is working?

When I took a class on scifi, we read a lot of "classics," but they were used as examples of how the genre had evolved and reflected what was going on at the time. BUT, that was for a class where we WANTED to do that kind of reading, even if we wouldn't necessarily have picked those books on our own

Yeah! It's like, you're happy for them, but you still wish it was you.

I always think of this as the "omg you're so good I wish I could do that!" jealousy.

Oh, oh this is a reference for the nerds (I admittedly forgot the name of the movie but we have it where I work and I remember reading about it).

A brewery near my house used to make quale and waffles, with chili-infused maple syrup and buttermilk batter. My boyfriend cried when the chef moved.

So, it depends on the kind. If it's the ones with polish in them (they are usually yellow), they basically run out of polish and you need to toss them. You can wash them, but then you'll need to get some polish to refresh them. A soft sponge, polish, and a cotton cloth (to remove excess) also works.

This question will forever haunt the watchers of the anime "Loveless." (Not to be confused with the novel of the same name, which is pretty much the opposite)

My perennial favorites are Sanctuary and Adventurer's Emporium, but lately I've been liking Jungles of Makal and Healing Potion. Don't have a fave yet of the P&D's, so I think I just need to order more of them ;)

I love your stuff! Especially the Patrons & Deities line. Just wanted to say that while I've been stuck in bed recovering from surgery your scents have been lifesavers for making me feel less "trapped." All the love ❤️

On the not testing because you didn't have it as a kid bit: I have a colleague that was a marine and was found to have had EDS in her 40's. I don't know her combat history or if you can have a "mild version" or if it can be aggravated by certain stimuli, but it can definitely be found later in life

One of the things I found helpful when I get bogged down in the flow of a story is to just write on index cards. Then I can rearrange them and add in "the middle bits" later. Also, just writing on a boat load of small papers is somehow less scary than writing on a reasonable amount of big papers?

I love this! I noticed on the new intake forms at my doctor's they have a little box now that asks if you would like to discuss weight/diet (they still record it, but still). Actually, that same Dr. was like, "you have a lot going on; let's not discuss weight until after we work on everything else."

Has vague "stop testing because I want the results to go away" vibes.

Anybody else read this like an Old Spice ad?

There used to be a guy who walked his around my university! They were massive and his at least were very well trained and friendly.
