severance is #1 but not having it in the top 5 at all is criminal

4 of the 7 were underdogs

arizona st and boise st didn't deserve the bye, and the CFP rules were eventually (and appropriately) changed
texas tech didn't deserve the bye either, the big12 is a joke
georgia had an injured QB, lost to best ND team since '93

only miami over OSU was truly surprising

it should have been Notre Dame out there instead of Alabama

It’s even worse than that, they do have those people they just choose to ignore them.

he overlapped with Scottie Pippen, Karl Malone, Charles Oakley, Horace Grant, Mark Jackson, and Avery Johnson among others

what would he average at age 60? i truly believe he could get you 12/6/6 if the team was forced to play him at least 36 mins per night (they'd lose every game)

Correctly predicting the winner of a series in the wrong number of games is not "bad discourse" please go away.

People have zero-tolerance for deaths caused by computers. They'd rather drive a car themselves and triple their chance at dying than to risk being killed by an algorithm. If these cars are anything less than the safest possible car option they won't be utilized by the public (because we're stupid.)

USC already knew, and is using it as an excuse to get out of a tough late-season game that they have been losing the last ~10 years that doesn't really benefit them.

I don't even mind the decision, but let's not pretend like it's any type of mistake or accident.
December 23, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Even if we ignore the fact that USC was involved in these discussions and was absolutely, positively aware of this already... the scenario where it's "someone's incompetence" is simply not possible. The entire thing was public over a year ago:

The new 12-team CFP is already causing consternation and controversy. But how and why did they land on this specific format? Here's the behind-the-scenes story from its architects.

why would they move scheduled games to accommodate USCs whining? you know those teams have their own schedules too right? how about you just win the game?

If Paul actually wins this, I am going full-on conspiracy theorist.
December 18, 2025 at 6:13 PM
Jake Paul is a better boxer than most people think. For instance anybody who thought 60-year old Tyson would beat him is delusional.

HOWEVER.

Can somebody make this one make sense to me? Paul lost to Tommy Fury, a mediocre cruiserweight. Now he's fighting the former heavyweight champion?
