I feel like the point of it being specific days is letting companies know it’s intentional. If everyone stops shopping overall, that’s great, but companies may claim “our marketing department sucks, fire them” instead of seeing it as protest to corruption

Nope. I think this is trying to buy happiness. Like thinking “this game looks so cool, imagine how happy I’ll be playing!” But if you don’t open it, you’re just buying the idea of that happiness itself instead of trying to make it happen.
