A YES on cloture is a YES for the bill.

Do not let anyone play games with you.

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN.

☎️: (202) 224-3121

Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid.

The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING.

Call retiring Senators too!

I'm voting NO on the Republican shutdown bill.

NO on handing Donald Trump and Elon Musk a blank check to spend your taxpayer money however they want.

NO on cutting funding that helps families put food on the table and crack down on wealthy tax cheats.

We need to push back.

NY friends, call Senator Schumer now and demand he vote “no” on cloture!! Never give in to fascists.

A dear friend just reminded me of the quote from Ram Dass: “We are all just walking each other home”.

Looking for an alternative to Amazon Kindle? Try Kobo. I’ve used it since the pandemic. Can use their app on any device and they have a huge library. It’s owned by Rakuten, a Japanese company, not by Bezos.

Sharing some beautiful words from community organizer Colette Lima: “Hope is not just a feeling. Hope is a discipline. It’s a practice that demands we act, even when we’re exhausted.”

Feeling heartbroken. The City of Revere lost three daughters this week, one a former student of mine. Found dead in a hotel room in Belize. I cannot imagine the grief of their parents.

I will be participating in The Feb 28 economic boycott. Please join me in not making any purchases that day except from locally owned businesses. No Whole Foods, no Amazon, no Target, no Walmart, etc. None of them.

I am exhausted by the daily attacks on the ideas and beliefs and facts we hold most dear, but we have to keep showing up every day and not ever give ground to fascists and bullies and sycophants.

If I could be someone from the past it might be Ed Ricketts, except the getting killed by a train bit. Biologist, ecologist, philosopher, admirer of working people and of women. Steinbeck said “his face is half Christ and half satyr and his face tells the truth."
