Since she's trans, I want to be able to gush and say I LOVED it. I WANT to be all on board. As it is, I think editorial really dropped the ball. on helping her adapt to the medium (if this is her first monthly mainstream work).

With a 6 issue miniseries, less would have been more.

....but that kind of makes it harder to pull off all of what she seems to want to.

As it is, I think she's trying to do waaaaaaaaaaay too much in one single issue. She seems really eager to jump in with awesome ideas and setting up tons of new stuff..... but I think that scatters the focus to the detriment of all these ideas. Of course, this IS a miniseries.....

At the risk of trans cancellation.... I don't think it's that *good*. I don't know the writer. I'm getting a sense that she's new to comics? I get the sense that she doesn't know yet how to best utilize one on the biggest resources in this format..... how to make use of limited space.
