I read it after seeing the movie the second time. I admit to liking the movie better, but I think that’s because I first saw the movie as a teen and Louise Fletcher’s performance is indelibly imprinted in my brain.

Do republicans ever think about the need for unskilled workers? Where I grew up every summer hard working families of migrants would come pick crops. If not for the immigrants most of those crops would go to waste unpicked, like what happened during the pandemic.

I get frustrated when people (usually progressives) judge history by today’s standards. Yes, Jefferson had slaves and it was wrong, we don’t have to vilify everything he did. Yes, Laura Ingalls Wilder said the only good injun is a dead injun, but her books and the tv series are beloved.

20+ year old movies are going to be dated. I didn’t like the movie either, but not for that reason,

He’s always been large. I never liked him, so I don’t think anything happened to him. He’s dishonest. He wasn’t honest about his health after his stroke when he was a candidate. He stayed in the primary. Then he lied about his recovery as a senate candidate. He’s an online troll like 🍊 🤡.

I hate that Fetterman is my representative. I voted 3rd party because the republican was just as bad. Don’t get me started.
