The marine layer showed up right before sunset, making for a chilly ride home. A balloon landed right off the fire road... If I had been a couple minutes earlier I'd have seen it touch down. #mtb #mountainbiking #sandiego

One of these has caffeine, the other doesn't, and I'll never understand the choice to make the decaf bright orange. Don't know how many mornings I've sat there wondering when the coffee is going to kick in, only to eventually realize I made the wrong kind. #coffee

Living in a cave...I hadn't realized that one of our local trail systems had burned. Quite a surprise to round the corner and see that. Some hikers told me it was arson. #mtb #mountainbiking #sandiego #laCosta

There are thousands of things on the trail that look like rattlesnakes but aren't rattlesnakes. Every once in a while, though, the thing looks like a rattlesnake because it IS a rattlesnake. Big one this morning in PQ. #mtb #mtblife #mountainbiking #sandiego

Foggy summer mornings are nice #mountainbiking weather, except that I had just given this thing the most thorough wash of its life. Totally caked in moon dust. Fun ride though. #MTN #sandiego

My #mtb ride came to an abrupt halt due to a flat today. Sliced the sidewall on something (not the cactus). Only had 2 bacon strips, needed them both, but eventually got enough air in the tire to make it home. New tire day, unfortunately. This one had some life left in it.

My #mtb ride came to an abrupt halt due to a flat today. Sliced the sidewall on something (not the cactus). Only had 2 bacon strips, needed them both, but eventually got enough air in the tire to make it home. New tire day, unfortunately. This one had some life left in it.
