You hate to see them fall... but love to watch them add to the aesthetic variety of the trail

I saw the magical steaming tree

This where they forage the wild ice for all those local artisanal tiki cocktails in Portland

Never seen ice do this before... freaky shit happening up there

I camped around 4200' on my first night... this was the trail at 4700' in the morning, on my way up Indian Mountain

I was hiking alone into the unfamiliar for the night, thousands of feet up on a mountain ridge, but fog like this makes you feel like you could be anywhere

These tentacle-esque stalks didn't stand out too well in photos so I thought a video might give you an idea how it felt to walk through them
