Your entire living space will be coated in ultra fine dust.

Still much easier to access than on our Electrolux, unfortunately. You have to tilt it back or even lay it flat to get at it, and it’s a nightmare to get the clamp back in place. Not designed to be readily serviced even with the front off.

Mine has Mini USB! No durability concerns there.

I recently did the same, and found some were unreadable on my USB DVD drive due to degradation. My old ThinkPad pulled through though and could read most of those discs with some extra patience.

USB 3.0 would be silly at these data rates. I don’t see any need for that.

Our oven’s rapid preheat just turns on convection and cycles the heating elements one at a time. It then claims to be ready when it’s still actually preheating and depends on convection to meet expectations.

It’s frustrating since it’s wired to a 40A circuit but can only draw a fraction of that.

Such a circuit would actually pull 12A due to the 80% rule. 12A / 120V is only 10% of the capacity of a 60A / 240V subpanel.

You can have viable car charging on the electrical equivalent of a potato. I know people who use such a circuit for the vast majority of their charging needs.

You don’t need a 50 amp circuit. 15A / 120v is just fine in most cases. The same circuit you plug a door opener or a toaster into.

It absolutely can. By charging overnight, it’s even rather helpful to the grid by smoothing out power demand.

EV charging doesn’t pull as much current as you seem to think. You can charge with the same power requirements as a toaster if you want.

Rolls Spectre EV?

Here you’ll get seized brake calipers, rusted through steel brake lines etc. Winter car washes are cheap preventative maintenance that can save $thousands. I totally get it if you don’t have to deal with that, though.

They’re strangely rare where I live. I only know of one, and it was “fun” to find as they don’t even advertise it that way. I probably had to check a couple dozen online and in street view.

If you live somewhere with road salt in the winter, forgetting to wash your car invites rust and hefty repair bills.

I only see the subs feed because I turned off watch history. The main page is completely devoid of video recommendations. I like it that way.

Tesla and perhaps others do use a lithium ion 12-16V battery. Hopefully it’ll catch on.

Why are these electrocution cables still sold at places like Amazon?

I’d absolutely buy that. I only need a heater in the garage maybe 2 days a year. It’d be perfect to just use my EVSE to power one.

It’s been replaced my the scammy pest control salesperson epidemic here, unfortunately

I have to go there on occasion for T-Mobile support. I’ve had much better luck DMing them there than I’ve had on the phone. I eliminated the entire feed with my ad blocker to make it less disgusting and awful.

I haven’t interacted with a Tesla charge handle with capacitive touch before. They all have a clicky release button. Did that change recently?

Have they tried induction? We moved from gas and will never go back as long as we have control over such things.
July 6, 2024 at 1:49 PM
We ripped out our gas cooktop in favor of induction after trying it for the first time. Not looking back. It’s strictly better for our purposes.

The Brooklyn Park, MN location has both those things *and* a glass elevator. Very fancy.

Strange. The one in our Mazda3 worked great with polarized sunglasses. The HUD also rattled quite a bit, though, and I wasn’t enthused about letting the dealer pull the dash to fix it.
