"We tend to believe we should offer a fix, a solution. The truth is that what most people want is to feel seen and heard by an empathetic listener," Mar Cabra says.
We harness listening to build collective resilience
"We need to have deep conversations about how we are doing, not just water cooler moments in the newsroom."

@tracimabrey.bsky.social Love this discussion/prediction!

I'd wager Wikipedia's popular success has heavily relied on how it's normalized citing sources (while compositing a variety of info). If AI does this too, it will feel much more trustworthy.
Traceability becomes table stakes for AI
"If we are to reap the rewards that AI can afford us, we will need to be able to source the origin of information down to the very last word."

Dozens and dozens of thought-provoking predictions. I have at least 30 new tabs open lol.

My school teacher wife uses ChatGPT to make incorrect answers for multiple choice quizzes because it is better that being confidently wrong than anything else.

Interesting take, well articulated. Issues aren’t always purely “side A” versus “side B”, both often have valid concerns. Given the proportion of time and effort tracking down Mangione, my inner optimist wishes even a fraction of that effort would be focused on overhauling healthcare institutions.
Mangione is a symptom of the legalised violence committed by corporations. We must condemn both in proportion to the harm they cause. Thousands die from being unable to get medical care, 1 died because of Mangione.
