It's truly astounding how many older folks think young people's apathy is voluntary and/or misguided and/or a phase and/or some weird form of rebellion, rather than a natural, unavoidable response to being constantly bombarded with information about the climate crisis while we were growing up.

$280 *per family* is nothing. We’d be far better off collectively investing that money into social programs that make life more affordable for everyone by taking the things we depend on out of the market system.

i don’t think some americans understand the degree people outside their borders have to watch US domestic politics because of how US decisions can have significant consequences for us.
i hope we can reach a place where we don’t have to worry about that, in the way americans never do about us.

Hot take: Anyone who thinks we should lessen and/or dissolve our ties with the crown in the next 10ish years (minimum) doesn't understand enough about global politics/relations to have an opinion on the matter. Not saying I like the monarchy, but Canada needs it rn. Not saying I like that either.
