Both the disco and the country club are exclusionary. The disco by means of the doorman gating who is "cool enough" for entry and the country club by membership. Los Angeles, in contrast, is open to everyone. Or maybe just disco = uncool, country club = uncool, therefore LA = cool.

Growing up hearing the proper military alphabet, I remember being confused watching CHiPs when they would use "David King..." to call in license plate numbers. I later learned that the police use a different alphabet. In the police alphabet, D is David.

When possible, I always park with the rear derailleur facing away from the rack. This helps prevent accidental damage to the derailleur.

When riding my bakfiet I get lots of nods, smiles, and waves. Drivers will rolldown their windows just to tell me that I have a "cool bike." No one nods, smiles, or waves at all the Cybertrucks.

This is great if you live in the narrow corridor where the trains run. If you are in, say Miami Beach, pedal assist e-bikes are banned from the bike path. Your choices are Collins or Indian Creek. No bike lanes and 3 lanes of cars. Miami biking infrastructure is the worst.

I've been out of game dev for quite a while, but it was always this way...going back to the nineties. The exception is successful annualized titles. I know people who have been working on Call of Duty for nearly two decades.

Absolutely. But please don't buy one of those fat tire e-bikes that has a throttle that goes to 30mph without pedaling. If you do, please stay off any bike/pedestrian infrastructure. You are on a moped and should be on the street.
