Interestingly though it seems BEMANI cabinets still allow for e-amusement passes (and even the use of PASELI). It seems to run a different network though.

Chinese CHUNITHM (and also maimai) cabinets use QR codes to login whereas everywhere else we use IC cards. Also it seems that they block you from generating a login qr code if you are on a non-Chinese mobile network/wifi (including roaming)

I should say though it's been nice to get the notifications through the companion app for the time sensitive project FATEs
Mixed (but mostly good) feeling about 7.25's Occult Crescent so far.
