I love my wife, my dogs and fictional sapphics
Meanwhile the fandom wants her to bend over, grovel, tend to all the male characters

I fear it will only worsen as Charlie clearly idolises Lilith and still has some issues with Lucifer. So I’m sure the same groups of the fandom will take that super well and not continue the Charlie hate

Misogyny is the main driver, women are held to a different standards, and generally they are only measured on their usefulness to the male characters that people like.

Charlie is a oblivious nepo baby stumbling to try and make Hell a better place, and has been incredibly sheltered forever

You should try and stay positive as you’ve pushed to make an amazing show, crew and fandom!! And millions of people love it, the creativity you pull out of people is such a beautiful thing to see!!

As Miley Cyrus once wisely said forget the haters because somebody loves you!!!

I love the thread.

I think people, choose not to see it even though show shows their love in every episode, their love is explicitly shown.

The fandom of Hazbin is much more interested towards male characters and mlm - if Chaggie was mlm then fans would love them (see Fizzarolli)

The worst part of the hypnosis twist - Vox didn’t know about Charlie’s deal with Alastor - which was the very thing that vox sent pentious to stop back in 1x03 and was his biggest worry.

Plus if vox was using Angel then outside the lucifer gossip it didn’t feel like he told Vox anything of use?

Aside form Charlie, no one else is ‘out’ what do they want to do? Devote an episode with every character announcing their sexuality and then hold a pride parade after?

Do they want it to be a mystery what sexuality they are? So people would argue Viv doesn’t care because it’s not said what they are

Plus if this person took 2 seconds to research for their debate , they’d find out that a lot of creators get pushback from studios and faceless execs to reduce LGBT themes

By choosing characters to be LGBT shows that Viv cares because we see it on screen in the main cast every single episode

So they mean the pride merch - that allows fans to have something of their fav characters and feel seen?

Whilst the show doesn’t shove anything in the face, and these are the same people who say Charlie/Vaggi are like friends and then think easy was ‘too much’ and was not needed??

So it’s not surprising that misogyny grows like a tree when outside of the show (which is fairly balanced) nearly everything else is so heavily focused not the male characters

So imo it goes past the fandom and also goes back to interviewers etc to help and advocate for the female characters

Vaggi wasn’t mentioned aside from Viv saying that that her and Charlie are the characters are most like.

This is not the first time where I’ve seen interviews where the focus is just the male characters - by doing so it cultivates the male fandom as they are catered to all the time so it’s hard for

I do think that’s not enough is done in content to uplift the female characters (outside of the shows themselves).

Viv recently did an interview with Collider and large chunks of that focused on the male characters specially Vox, Alastair, Lucifer and Angel (Charlie, Lilith and lute had mentions)

The thought of Lute somehow ending up in hell, or even in heaven and changing her mind and learning to let go of her anger.

It starts with therapy

Same way that in episode 6 - she had learned from Angel saying sorry was not enough in episode 3.

She apologised to Vaggi through action (tea party in fort) and words, and then spoke about what was hurting her (having avoided it in episode 1)

So can’t tell me that Charlie was not learning
