We were able to get her mother out of the nursing home, (Hiram Shaddox 🖕) because we saw she was entering hospice territory.
She died a week later of infection, and had a DNR. I pronounced her.
BUT! Because we took care of her all that time, and the brother wasn't here at all, AND paid all 2/3

Whoa! Your experience mirrors our uncannily, except it happened 3 years ago. Same as you, the brother got POA, got everything in his name, but there's a kicker.
