As rabble (player, GM, hacker but never designer) it feels very "know it when I see it". "Roll 1d6 for each dot in the Action you're using" is a mechanic. "The player chooses the action and the GM sets the position/effect" is a rule.

Idk man. I'm being snippy because there's character limits here. Generally I'm less upset at people when the "abuse of the system" they do is what everyone should have. Everyone should get a good education and a good lawyer and help with money if they need it. Not helpful here, but a principle

I disagree with the slippery slope argument here. Just increase test times to whatever the expected accommodations are.

Yes, so we should just be more patient with accommodations, so anyone who wants the advantage can have one

I don't think it's wonkish at all. "What is the purpose of our education system, and what should it prioritize/encourage" is actually a really important question. Much moreso than another "should our disability system be harder to access"

Leaving aside that this is entirely anecdotal, the conclusion is also dumb! If a growing number of college students are getting accommodations, why is that a problem? Maybe just make the accommodations the baseline, even. "Kids these days have longer to take tests" is not a real problem.

Oh my God I forgot her name! This is Tabs, which is short for Tabitha, which is long for Tabby.
