Oh they were awesome!!! I’ve seen them twice now and they really pull it off live. Loud as hell, raw emotion. Awesome.

The black metal influence is a great observation. You can definitely hear it on this and Morningrise. Yeah, this early period is where I got into the band so it definitely brings a certain reverence for me too!
