Calculate the international trade deficit on services such as entertainment streaming, SoMe adds, software, cloud storage, etc. with the US and use their weird calculation method. Should land a 400+% tarif. Then look at investment deficits and tax investment revenue from US indexes in the same way.

Citizens of the United States of Russia and US won't have to traverse a great beautiful ocean. Passage across the narrow Bering Strait will eliminate physical boarders just as easily as unchecked tech companies eliminate digital ones.

Amazon.ca sells canada 51 us state caps, promoting US economic warfare and expansionist aggression against Canada. No more Amazon. Buy directly from Canadian vendors instead.

I turn down peer review requests from reputable publishers every week for one reason: 7 day due date. My work time and capacity is always fully committed for weeks. I'm happy to support more colleagues' writing process, so ask your editor to offer me 4-5 weeks' notice.

Changed all plans to attend US conferences in the coming years. Canadians were the US' largest source of income from visitors, until last week.

Buy Canadian first, Mexican second, and anything but American third. There never was a drug trafficing problem at our US border. It is about expansionist aggression. Russian playbook. Canada needs to support our own and redirect business to other partners, fast. Europe, we have great deals for you.

Just went through my normal weekly grocery list and am happy to see it only contained four products from the US. They are now replaced. No problem. Almost everything is Canadian already. Hope Mexican goods will make it through to us in the north.

I have always supported local companies for environmental and community reasons. Now 'made in Canada' is also important for macro economic reasons. If Canadian friends are in doubts about how to replace US produced goods, then this may help madeinca.ca

Shout out for Coleman Nye, the new journal editor of Performance Matters. Working with her on accessible and kind peer review methods for our issue on Dramaturgies of Accessibility is awesome! Learning that the principles will be available for future guest editors too is even better!

Loved yesterday's dramaturgy class. Bundled the compositional models of 'dead white dudes' (Aristotelian, epic, and montage) into three hours. Now onto perceptual/sensory dramaturgy. Then shifting to creation processes in devising, dance, access, Indigenous, and immersive dramaturgy with workshops.

Lo Mio-lan's report on the Kyoto Dramaturgy Meeting (2024) has been released in English and Japanese. My work on dramaturgical agency and ethics is relayed alongside the inspiring work of Yoshishi Yokoyama, Sharleen Rajendran, Kaku Nagashima, and Nanako Nakajima. I welcome this revisit :-)
