As I watch the No Kings rallies, I have had a nagging suspicion that something is missing. I would love to hear the participants sing songs like "This land is my land" or "Do you hear the people" from Les Miz. I believe music is a great way to collectively be heard and feel the emotions.

There was a site available online today claiming to know Diane Keatons' net worth. She was a great actor and person...period. This is another example of money and possessions being the gauge of success. This is the myth of capitalism.

My last two posts are indications that I went low when I could have gone high. I regret them now after a sober second look. My anger and frustration clouded my perception. My most regretted reaction was that I violated my personal life standards by posting these words. Mia culpa.

You may remember Will Smith acting in the movie entitled Hancock. In one scene, as a superhero, he forced a man's head into another's rectum. This was pure fiction, so it was surprising that so many of today's GOP are able to do this feat willingly. As a result, they have massive oral hemmroids.

"Above all, do not lie to yourself. A man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point where he does not discern any truth in himself or anywhere around him and thus falls into disrespect towards himself and others...he ceases to love" - Fyodor Dostoevsky (The Brothers Karamazov)

I'm just pondering. If DJT wants to inflict tariffs to bring jobs and prosperity to the USA (he does not). Why would he not put tariffs on goods from US off shore companies to get them to move back and build in America? I guess it would piss off the billionaires, which would be counterproductive.

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.

From W.B. Yeat's poem The Second Coming

If DJT decides to change his mind, once again, and use military power to annex Canada, does he consider the risks. Will Canada fight back? Will NATO get involved? Will he sacrifice US lives because of his ego and greed? Go figure.

Woe to that nation whose literature is cut short by the intrusion of force. This is not merely interference with freedom of the press but the sealing up of a nation's heart, the excision of its memory. - Alexander Solzhenitsyn, novelist, Nobel laureate (11 Dec 1918-2008)

Today, I am a husband, a father, and a grandfather. I consider my legacy very important. DJT, EM, JDV, and S Miller will die one day, and their legacy will be marked by hate, lies, manipulation, greed, and narcissism. That is, unless they can scub the history books of these stains forever.

"What are the lies that you tell yourself that you still believe?" I do not know the origin of this quote, but it gives me pause. It is a caution for myself and anyone intending to grow socially, mentally, and spiritually.
