I finally bought gouache paints and got inspired to test them on a screenshot study of Cielo. Such a bizarre medium but also the sketchbook def wasn't the best choice for it (the paper started to break weehhhh).

It wasn't my most clever idea to try transform my TFs to save space during the move. Especially without instructions. This is how I packed these. Often it feels like I'm one of the few who simply does not like transforming my toys/figures. At all, instructions or not. They stay as robots forever!🥰
Transformers Legacy Blurr toy lying on the floor half-transformed. It looks like a robotic sloth with a driver's seat that has comically fallen from a tree with front legs pointing straight ahead, and back legs on its sides. The torso piece in the middle, folded out, looks like its head that looks forward in confusion. Transformers Cyberverse Deluxe Bumblebee toy, almost completely transformed into a vehicle. The doors are opening up like being a fancy sportscar. The doors should be down and flush against the rest of the car instead, but it is not possible to do so when the whole toy is at this stage. Transformers War For Cybertron Kingdom Rattrap toy half-way transformed into beastmode. Rattrap's robot mode arms are functioning as the forelegs, elbows against the floor, while the beastmode's sides with frontlegs are like webbing, transforming him into a flying squirrel instead. Transformers Legacy Tarn toy half-transformed into a tank. It looks like he has faceplanted onto the floor, legs bent like sitting on knees but over-exaggerated and ballerina-like, while arms are very long and semi-transformed into proper treads, both straight forward. And he seemingly has lost his head in the fall.

A few WIP photos
Black canvas with a sketch drawn with a white gel pen. Struggles were had with the rough fabricy surface. Process shows background being done with way too much foggy shiny effect, which I toned down later down the line because I didn't like how it looked. The character has very crude shiny effect around the silhouette. All done with a sponge and with paint directly from the tube. With the addition of the moon, which I should have done at the sketch stage, made me realize I painted the shadow in a wrong angle onto the rock cliff so I fixed it with black paint which isn't even properly dried yet in this photo.

Two page comic about Cybertronians meeting Metal Cardbots. In first panel the scene is calm and sunny, and the background has a fence, trees and a city visible in the distance. We see half-bodies of Dexter, Blue Cop, Strongarm, Prowl, and Elita One. Blue Cop and Prowl are about to shake hands. Blue Cop: "We're Metal Cardbots from the planet Machina." Prowl: "We're Autobots from Cybertron. Nice to meet you." Second panel has Shadow X lying on the ground and leaning his head against his palms. He looks at Jun who stands in front of him arms crossed. Shadow X, looking cheerful: "Wanna make a bet?" Jun looks smug: "Sure, but you'll lose." In third panel the view is from behind the two as they look at the other group of bots. Shadow X says "Alrighto! I bet the Metal Breath works on other robot lifeforms too!" Jun: "Prepare to do chores for a month." Fourth panel has a close-up shot of Jun, holding his arms in front of him and clicking the Metal Breath that's tied around his wrist. The sound effect reads "blib" with a heart. The third panel is a wide area scene of the yard of Edo's workshop. We see seven bots, and all the Metal Cardbots, including Jun, are screaming "AAAAAAAAA!!!" while panicking. The Cybertronians who are Jazz, Elita One, and Strongarm are mainly looking at what just happened without much reactions: Jazz is gesturing with his hands towards Jun but is otherwise relaxed, Elita One has her hands on her hips, and Strongarm is more alert but hasn't taken any actions. Lastly in the lower right corner Chromia is kneeling in front of Edo who has a datapad in his hand. The two are not paying attention to what is happening. Edo makes a statement: "If you all stay, I'll definitely go bankrupt." The End.

WIP. I don't do clean lines. I do approximate shapes or I'll go crazier and break my hand early in the attempt.
A work in progress that shows how messy and sketchy lines I draw which are the final linework. Only a few lines are drawn once with very varying line thicknesses and not one is properly straight or aligned. The overall look is attempting to be more precise by fooling the brain to think of the best form the eyes sees.
