Their “flaw”, their shame in their culture, is narratively, the aha moment that allows for victory to be achieved in a story but isn’t tied enough to their later fight scene to make that clear. It lacks any emotional depth and their development therefore feels empty and not resonant.

Minaito’s speech rushes Vegeta’s arc to a underwhelming conclusion. It lacks direct or a dramatic shift in the plot and comes off like a to do item to check off.
It also shoehorns Granolah and Goku’s arc into it. The latter’s arc being written too late.

(81-84)
Redundant fight scenes for entire 81 chapter
Gas’s devotion flaw is interesting but is too late for a satisfying development
Still not convinced on modern Bardock’s character and motivations. Too unexplained and no unique take on this trope.

Granolah’s negative character arc has swiftly become a positive arc. This is called a whiplash arc. I would prefer if Granolah’s struggle was slower and came from a position where he has nothing to gain from going good.

Chapter 78-80
The arc should be called the Heeters Arc
The explanation for keeping secrets is wonderfully believable and justifies the relationship of our characters in the first act

Chapter 77
To paraphrase MistareFusion, the special kindness of Goku is diminished when his father had the same mindset.

A break in the action is so refreshing and splits the plot into recognizable sections.

Elec is so fun to hate woah

The Story halts too long for unneeded extended fight between the Saiyans and cerelian. But, it becomes interesting when the Heeters make their move along with Manaito’s revelation.

This saga is too fight bloated and lacks enough connection to the Moro Saga to feel like a true continuation.

Chapter 75-76
Granolah commits worse actions as he refuses to believe the truth and to further his want. Also, these actions further the plot by increasing in power. This is Great negative character arc writing.

Chapter 73-74
The justification for using and or holding back lesser forms/ trump cards from Goku, Vegeta and Granolah are creatively and delightfully believable.
73 and 74 could’ve fit into one chapter; too many pages wasted on redundant action.

Also, is 3 skeets= 3 sentences?
I am disappointed of this new format but I’ll make it work!

The plot is interesting but Granolah lacks overall charisma and without it, is tiring to read about.
Retconning the saiyans and Freeza is creative however, the story suffers from feeling reused, uncommitted, and afraid to move on to new lore. Modern Dragon Ball suffers from this.
Still excited !

Unfortunately i haven’t caught up with 14&15 but based on what i see so far,

I assume this show will not end with memories being erased but rather, a very convuluted reasoning for why any new powerups/tools that are shown in this series, aren’t used in Super.

These episodes introduced me to heavy topics I understand could sour the experience of the podcast so I understand if my comments are skipped.

I will keep watching but with the leniency of knowing this show is a product of its time.

The poorly placed and paced adventure has soured my mood but the promising main plot progression of Anirisu, keeps me staying.
