I have ancestors on my American side who were farmers that died of malnutrition. (Apparently when your diet is mainly the corn you grow, it doesn't matter how fresh and organic it is)

US military uniforms are all manufactured domestically, actually, as is the fiber that goes into them. At least that was the case when I was in.
