Joint statement of #NB8 foreign ministers on 🇬🇪
The Estonian Navy is commencing the protection of the Estlink 1 sea cable, cooperating with the Finnish Navy and the Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO (SACEUR) to secure energy connections between Estonia and Finland.
The suspected vessel is part of Russia’s shadow fleet, which threatens security and the environment, while funding Russia’s war budget.
We will propose further measures, including sanctions, to target this fleet. (2/3)
