Toppest Cat
@pigletsrevenge.bsky.social
Person, husband, son, brother, friend, cat. Somewhere left of center, populist without a populist party. Anti-tribalism.
That’s quite an ignorant comment if you’ve been following them more than five minutes.

Don’t see the point in continuing. I thought I was dealing with a nuanced person, but you can fuck right off.

Bill could save democracy by spilling all the beans on all of them but i know he wouldn’t sacrifice himself to save us.

It’s a sound argument, and I’ve heard it argued that the safest world would be one where everybody had nukes. I just seeing the argument for Ukraine (and Canada) having them as more sound than Iran. As they don’t exactly mind their own business. So to speak.

I highly doubt a tanker “sped off”.

That’s a lot of words for a country, Iran, that has violated the sovereignty of Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Gaza, Yemen, and others.

I'd rather talk about Chappell Roan's Thierry Mugler dress or The Cure finally winning a Grammy than Bad Bunny.
February 2, 2026 at 6:43 PM
it would be like NATO but without some random broke country on another continent that honestly needs to finally spend its money on something besides weapons. Not that it will.
February 1, 2026 at 9:16 PM
you’re reading way too much into this and being way too bothered by random comments on the internet that were basically “he says that like it’s a bad thing” from a commenter who didn’t even read the entire blurb before commenting. You should have better time management.

I barely drink and any drug use is probably less than most of the people you know who don’t admit to any of it to you, and all of it therapeutic as opposed to party-drugs.

Policies? I just made a random comment on drug experience.

I see that sarcasm isn't your strong point. You JUST RESTATED MY POINT. Now substitute ocean for various states of consciousness.

As for the desert/dessert thing, eye roll.
February 1, 2026 at 6:13 PM
Go fuck yourself, Jack. And while you're fucking yourself, look in the mirror, and feel bad that that's the only thing that'll fuck an insufferable prick such as yourself, you more-embarrassing pick.
February 1, 2026 at 6:08 PM
"The dessert is amazing. I read about it"

"The feel and smell of the ocean, it's incredible. In that book I read"

Imagine being so incurious that your default is douchebag.

Privilege to avoid what? You aren't making a clear point at all. I don't even know how to response as I sincerely have no idea what point you're trying to make.
February 1, 2026 at 5:36 PM
I'm not saying that you have to do drugs to understand it, but first hand experience outweighs reading about things, and even if you wanted to limit drug consumption it helps to understand why they're appealing to so many people if you're going to seek/offer alternatives.

My revelation was just around how subjective reality is, with that subjectivity being more chemical based than I'd assumed, and that I'm interacting with people who have slightly different chemical makeups and therefore, they're in a different assumed-reality than I am to some degree.
February 1, 2026 at 5:02 PM
I'm not hiding from the fact I just made a throwaway comment and then got sucked into some debate I had no intention of getting into, around a topic that the original post had nothing to do with ....
February 1, 2026 at 4:55 PM
FWIW I just think we paint drugs with too broad of a brush. I think many are legitimately harmful. Others, the harm is overblown and they can be helpful (psilocin for example, MDMA). Some, less harmful than alcohol. And I think the reaction to them is influenced by Pharma money as much as anything.
February 1, 2026 at 4:54 PM
As in, I'm generically talking about casual drug use and the misconceptions around it, instead of the actual topic of the link.
February 1, 2026 at 4:51 PM
Basically I misunderstood the whole original post and my first comment was taken with that context and everything after is some mixture of me talking about openness to drugs/experience being taken as a criticism of this guy when generally I probably agree with him on most things.
February 1, 2026 at 4:50 PM
Um, no. I'm just a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude.
February 1, 2026 at 4:48 PM
I would put your likelihood of being an insufferable d-bag at somewhere above 0, however.
February 1, 2026 at 4:39 PM
As for him, I don't know him beyond the blurb here and this politician is not even who/what I'm actually commenting on at this point.
February 1, 2026 at 4:38 PM
I think it's just a matter of not being so black and white with one's experiences, that a person should be open to things. I don't trust people who are black and white on things, I'm a grey-area person.
February 1, 2026 at 4:37 PM
I don't think it's a 'who' but I do think that it's plainly clear that our biology dictates our perception of reality. Think about how your mood affects your day- that's just your brain chemistry affecting your perception of reality. The world didn't change but your chemistry did.
February 1, 2026 at 4:35 PM
Why does this bother you so much?
