Right, there were things I really enjoyed about the movie (Elordi’s performance, costuming and set, the ideas about war they sort of explored), but the choices they made when adapting this book just made the film weaker.

Yeah I loved Kirsh, but his motivations and where he ended up after all that made no sense. He's fun to watch but why is he doing any of that???
