I literally looked up the lyrics to the song you mentioned for its lyrics? It is my opinion, yeah, but I don't think it's an issue of people not "really knowing" her music lmao.

her lyrics may be relatable but i don't think they're especially well-written or clever. they just don't really go very deep or do/say anything interesting imo— which isn't necessarily bad, but some people including myself want a bit more out of a song
