I've had it clarified for me that the "Capitol Police" who patrol the Library of Congress and some other institutions are distinct from the "DC Metropolitan Police", which the feds have taken over. The Capitol Police are not under Trump's control.

Like destroy or alter records in the Library of Congress or Federal Reserve? Could brutalizing people be just a horrible distraction?
